Welcome to one of the few websites (only 1 other I know of) on the net devoted to the game "Lunacy" (or "Gekkamugentan Torico" as it was known in the original Japanese version), released on the Sega Saturn gaming console.

My purpose in creating this website is to share my interest (err... okay, near-obsession) of this surreal mystery; it's obscurity only adding to the atmosphere.

In Lunacy, you take on the role of Fred (at least that's what he is called), a mysterious traveler with a strange symbol imprinted on his forehead.  He's lost his memories, and wanders the City of Mists looking for any clues that may reveal his true identity.  Along the way he encounters people within the walled City of Mists, and hears rumors about the City of Moons, a place somehow tied to his past.  Fred attempts to find a way to City of Moons, while dealing with Lord Gordon, who rules City of Mists with a ruthless hand.

The game is presented in a series of full-motion videos (FMV), and is accompanied by an ambient soundtrack, which lends itself well to the mood of the experience.  Hopefully one day the game will be re-released on a newer-generation platform that could take better advantage of the CG animated sequences that can not be fully appreciated by the hardware and storage limitation of the Saturn.
